This little guy does wonders! Really takes away the odors from cooking, and the humidity smell that campers can often get. Spent a whole weekend outside for Nascar with the family and upon returning, did not have the usual "scent" that comes from a 5 day weekend. They should put these standard in all RV A/C's!

Installed in my 48' RV and can't believe the difference. If you're on the fence, take the jump! I was a skeptic being a plumber for 42 years I am now a believer!

AIRLOCK One is a great solution to get rid of RV tank odors and the many scents of cooking. It’s so easy to install and works with very little maintenance.

My wife did mention something a couple days ago about my sneezing. I've got allergies and every day in the morning and evening, I get bad sneezing fits daily. Since installing the first unit just in our bedroom, I rarely sneeze at all now, maybe a few times a day and even had a few days I did not even sneeze once.

RV Cabin Air Quality for Motorhomes, Travel Trailers & Camper Vans

Open the rig after a winter at the storage lot and the smell hits before you do: closed-up cushions, a black-tank hint, last season's campfire still in the fabric. A new trailer has its own version — that chemical "new RV" off-gassing from cabinets, adhesives, and carpet. Home HEPA boxes were never built for this. Road vibration shakes filter media apart. Humidity clogs it. And none of it touches formaldehyde, holding-tank VOCs, or the musty smell that lives in the air handler. Cabin air quality in an RV is its own problem, and these are the AIRLOCK products built for it.

AIRLOCK was built for the coach, not the living room. One installs in the AC you already have and treats the air before it hits the vents. Voyage plugs in where the ducts don't go — bathroom, bunks, kitchen. No filters. No refill packs. Just air you can sleep in on the road and after storage.

Why RV owners pick AIRLOCK over a household purifier

  • New-RV formaldehyde and off-gassing. Pressed wood, adhesives, and carpet release gas-phase molecules a HEPA filter cannot catch. Bipolar ionization breaks those VOCs down — the actual "new camper smell," not a cover scent.
  • Musty after storage. Months closed up at the lot is a mold-and-VOC problem, not a dirty-owner problem. Run AIRLOCK through the AC when you open the coach; most owners notice the cabin turn over within a day or two.
  • No filter media to shake apart. Highway miles destroy boxed HEPA units. AIRLOCK has nothing to crack, sag, or clog after 5,000 miles.
  • One unit per AC, whole-coach coverage. AIRLOCK One RV installs at the rooftop AC air path — ducted or non-ducted — so the air already moving through the coach is the air that gets treated. Still one unit per AC. Class A coaches with two or three air handlers use one unit per AC.
  • Safe in a closed-up coach. UL 867 certified for continuous use while you're living in the rig, including small camper vans.

Built for how people actually RV

  • Class A / Class C motorhomes — rooftop AC (ducted or non-ducted), often more than one unit. Install One in each air handler so the bedroom slide and the salon aren't sharing one undersized box.
  • Travel trailers and fifth wheels — same rooftop AC install (ducted or non-ducted), still one unit per AC. The smell after storage and the "new trailer" off-gassing are the two jobs owners mention most.
  • Toy haulers — garage + living space means more closed-up volume and more residual fuel/gear odor. Treat the living AC; add Voyage in the garage if that bay stays shut.
  • Camper vans and truck campers — if there is a rooftop AC (ducted or non-ducted), One RV still works, one unit per AC. No rooftop AC? One needs the AC airflow path. Voyage still helps as a plug-in for bathrooms, kitchens, or pet corners (up to 4 ft) — a zone tool, not a whole-cabin stand-in for One.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can AIRLOCK help with musty RV smell after storage?

Yes. An RV that sat closed traps damp air, and the musty smell hits when you open the door. AIRLOCK One installs by your roof AC and works through your RV's AC. It eliminates odors whenever the fan runs. Owners often notice a difference in the first day or two once the fan is running.

Does AIRLOCK help with that new-RV smell?

Yes. New materials put that new-RV smell into a sealed coach. AIRLOCK One eliminates those odors through the AC whenever the fan runs. Airing the coach out still helps. One treats the air that keeps smelling like a new RV after you've cracked the windows.

How many AIRLOCK units does my motorhome need?

Install 1 AIRLOCK One per AC unit. Count AC units, not square footage. A coach with two rooftop units needs two. A smaller coach with one AC usually needs one.

Does AIRLOCK help with black tank odor in the cabin?

It treats the air that leaked in, not the tank. Fix seals and tank treatment first. AIRLOCK One eliminates the odors that still show up in the living space after the tank side is handled. It is a second layer, not a substitute for a working valve.

Does AIRLOCK work in a camper van?

If the van has an AC unit, AIRLOCK One installs by that unit and treats the whole cabin through the AC. Add Voyage for bathrooms, kitchens, or pet corners where air sits — plug-in, up to 4 ft. Voyage is a zone complement to One, not a stand-in when there's no AC.

Can I run it without hookups?

AIRLOCK One runs when the AC fan is moving air, on shore power, generator, or inverter. The compressor does not need to be cooling. AIRLOCK Voyage needs a wall outlet or 12V. If you have no power at all, it waits until you do.
