AIRLOCK One

Troubleshooting Common Issues

For AIRLOCK One to work at maximum efficiency, it must be installed correctly and have proper airflow. Below are the most common issues that can affect performance—and how to avoid or resolve them.

1

INCORRECT PLACEMENT

AIRLOCK One generates positive and negative ions at the tips of the ion emitters.

For the system to work, these ions must be pulled into your AC's airflow to circulate throughout the boat.

If the emitters are not positioned directly at the AC intake, or if airflow is obstructed, the ions cannot enter the system and will not reach your boat's interir

Recommendation:

Mount AIRLOCK One as close as possible to the AC unit intake with clear, unobstructed airflow between the emitters and the intake.

2

DIRTY AC UNIT

The AC coils, filter, blower, ducts, or flex ducts may be heavily contaminated. When excessive dirt is present, ions attach to the debris instead of circulating through your cabin, preventing them from purifying your living spaces.

A heavily contaminated AC system also reduces air quality and system efficiency on its own.

Recommendation:
Thoroughly clean the AC coils, blower, and ductwork, and replace the AC filter before evaluating AIRLOCK One's performance.

3

LIMITED AC RUNTIME

AIRLOCK One only purifies air while the AC or fan is running. If your system operates infrequently (less than a few cycles per day), ion distribution will be limited and air quality improvements may take longer to notice.

The more your AC or fan runs, the more ions circulate throughout your boat. You don't need to run it constantly, but regular operation will deliver better results.

Recommendation:
Run the AC or fan regularly throughout the day. If possible, connect AIRLOCK One to the AC fan circuit and leave the fan running for continuous ion circulation without cooling.
